LeBron James played a lot, but his Los Angeles Lakers continued to stumble in the NBA: 37 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists from the basketball star weren’t enough for the Memphis Grizzlies.
The Lakers lost 99-104, their 19th loss of the season in just 17 wins.
James wasn’t even the most successful pitcher on the court, Ja Morant (22), 15 years his junior, stole the show with 41 points and 10 rebounds and led his team to victory after a long deficit.
Dallas and Boston lose
The Dallas Mavericks and Boston Celtics lost their games without German internationals Maximilian Kleber and Dennis Schröder, who are among the league’s numerous crown misses. The Mavs, who signed former Allstar Isaiah Thomas (32) for ten days before the game, lost 94-95 to the Sacramento Kings.
Record champion Boston lost to the Los Angeles Clippers, where German shooting star Isaiah Hartenstein is absent with an ankle injury, 82:91. The Phoenix Suns scored their 27th win of the season in a 115–97 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder, keeping them tied with the Golden State Warriors at the top of the Western Conference.
