Devin Booker could be out for up to three weeks with the Phoenix Suns

Devin Booker injured his thigh after an excellent time in Game 2 against the New Orleans Pelicans. The Phoenix Suns guard may be missing for longer than initially thought.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN Booker suffered a minor thigh injury in the third quarter, and the Suns did not rule out using Booker in future games. However, Woj reports that the 25-year-old will not be available for Games 3 and 4 in New Orleans.

The Suns performed an MRI on Thursday but has yet to release the results. According to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst, the conference semifinals could also be in jeopardy, the insider assumes Phoenix could be without the guard for two to three weeks.

In Game 2, Booker had already scored 31 points at half-time and hit seven threes before injuring his hamstring with four minutes left in the third quarter when he set up a block on the Pelicans’ great Jaxson Hayes. Without Booker, the Suns ended up losing the game 114-125, so the series is now even.

The thigh has often caused Booker problems in his career. In the NBA Finals, Booker also struggled, but bit his teeth. The guard has missed seven games this season due to thigh problems, up from four last year.

In the regular season, Booker appeared in 68 games with 26.8 points, 46.6% from the field and 38.3% from the three-point line. There were also 5.0 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.1 steals. The Suns won eight of 14 games without Booker.
