Basketball player Daniel Theis and the Boston Celtics also won their second game in the NBA playoffs.
Thanks to a strong second half, the record champions defeated the Brooklyn Nets 114-107 and now lead 2-0 in the “best of seven” series. Theis was on the ground for a good half hour and scored 15 points and six rebounds.
The Celtics around star Jayson Tatum (19 points) were already 45:62 behind just before halftime before turning the tables. Jaylen Brown scored 22 points as Boston’s leading scorer, Kevin Durant scored 27 for the Nets. Kyrie Irving, who had shone with 39 points in the first game, fell well short of expectations with ten points.
Bucks lose at home
Defending champions Milwaukee Bucks, meanwhile, suffered their first setback in the round of 16. Despite MVP contender Giannis Antetokounmpo’s 33 points and 18 rebounds, the Bucks lost 110-114 to the Chicago Bulls at home and are now 1-1 in the playoff series.
In Thursday night’s third game, Joel Embiid (33 points, 13 rebounds) led the Philadelphia 76ers to a third win against the Toronto Raptors. Raptors center Pascal Siakam scored just twelve points and is with his team at 0:3 before the final.
